When I think of Craig Johnson I think of many things. The first thing that comes to mind is a kind, caring teacher that truly knows and cares deeply for all kids. Mr. Johnson also spends endless hours outside of his contracted time working with his students. He has a tireless passion to maximize each and every students talents in our band program. The ovations that our students give him when he is introduced at our events is deafening, they love him! Year in year out our band program competes at the highest level. The individual and group accomplishments at the state level are beyond impressive. Most importantly Mr. Johnson’s passion for music is contagious. It is so uplifting to see our students perform while seeing how much fun they are having. Medical Lake Middle School and Medical Lake High School are two of the luckiest schools around knowing that Craig Johnson is the leader of our band programs. We are so proud and I couldn’t think of a better selection for the West Plains Chamber of Commerce teacher of the year!
